Work for two years in two to four teams and take control of your own learning journey. Find out more about the possibilities below.

IT Traineeship

Technology is very important at Nederlandse Loterij. We build websites, apps and gaming platforms for our brands. We use new tech right away. During the IT traineeship, you work for two years on different projects, like building websites or working on complex back-end systems.

Data Traineeship

In the Data Management Team, we work with very large amounts of data, sometimes with peaks of more than 100,000 messages per minute. We use the latest and best technologies. In the Data Traineeship, you first build a strong base in our technologies. Then you learn about different specializations, deepen your knowledge, and gain practical experience. You finish the program with your own specialization and apply it in practice. During the traineeship, you work in different roles in different areas, such as information analysis, data engineering, and data science.

Marketing Traineeship

You probably know our games: Staatsloterij, Lotto, Eurojackpot, Lucky Day, Miljoenenspel, Krasloten, TOTO Winkel, TOTO Sport, TOTO Casino and Winnitt. During the traineeship, you work in Performance or Brand Marketing. You can grow as a CRM specialist, Social Media Marketer, Online Marketer or Brand Marketer.

What to expect from a traineeship

At Nederlandse Loterij, we value your development and effort. Your work matters to us and to society. Curious about your salary, guidance, and the application process as a trainee? Here’s what you can expect:

Salary: As a trainee, you start with a good monthly salary, that grows every year.
Personal development plan: You will draw up a personal development plan with the help of your buddy and manager. Every week, you will review your progress with your buddy, and you’ll evaluate with your manager monthly.
Coaching: During your traineeship, we will assign you a Learning and Development coach. You will meet with them every eight weeks. How are you doing so far? Are you on the right track? The Learning & Development coach will help you plan your career.
Intervision: Twice a year, the Learning and Development coach organises intervision sessions where trainees share their experiences.
Activities: As a trainee, of course, you get to take part in all the fun outings. For example, visits to sporting events or special trainee and internship activities.
Selection process: To us, it is not about personality or intelligence tests. We look for motivation and a winner’s mentality. The selection process for a traineeship starts with a first interview with Recruitment and the Team Lead. Next, depending on the traineeship, you make a video pitch (for Marketing) or a custom assignment (for IT & Data). Finally, you have a second interview with HR and the Head of Department.
